Work and travel
Work and Travel is an international cultural exchange program that allows students from different countries to spend their summer vacation in the United States, working and relaxing (traveling).
The main goal of the Work and Travel program is to get acquainted with the culture and life of modern America, promote one’s own culture among the residents of the USA, and gain work experience in an American company.

Participation requirements
- Student statusBachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. students in full-time programs; Students in their final year qualify under the condition that they have not defended their thesis before the visa interview and possess a valid student ID card until October 31, 2024
- Age18 – 28 years
- PassportMust be valid for a minimum of six months beyond the planned return date
- Temporary or permanent residency cardValid at least until end of September 2024
- Medium level of english language proficiency
- Desire to experience the usa cultureGain significant experience, improve english language skills, make friends with students from around the world, and explore beautiful places.
Do not qualify
- Postgraduate students, online (e-learning) students, and second-year students of post-secondary vocational schools;
- Students who begin their studies in February/March (excluding students continuing their education, e.g., completing a bachelor’s degree in February and immediately starting master’s studies);
- Students on academic leave;
- High school graduates who finish their secondary education in May and only become students in the following autumn.
Required
documents
- Scan of the passport page with personal data
- Temporary or Permanent Residency Card valid at least until end of September 2024
- Certificate from the university confirming student status
- Contracts and other necessary documents will be sent to you by mail from the Easy Travel Abroad
Program cost
Registration fee – 1999 pln *
The fee covers participation in the program, completion of all paperwork and full support during recruitment and stay in the US.
Program fee – $1599
The fee includes obtaining the DS-2019 form, necessary for obtaining the J-1 visa and legal work in the United States, employer verification, and providing an offer in accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of State. Comprehensive insurance – JANUS, ERDT or WISE sponsors provide insurance until the end of the employment contract. The insurance complies with the requirements of the U.S. government and covers medical expenses in the U.S. up to $100,000, loss of baggage, civil liability, and more. 24/7 support from ETA and Janus or Wise sponsors throughout your stay in the U.S. The price also includes the SEVIS registration fee ($35).
J-1 visa fee $185
Payment for a visa that allows you to legally work and stay in the US.
Flight tickets to the usa – around 2000 pln
About 2,500 PLN (you will buy it by yourself according to your preferences).
Lifeguard training (for lifeguard offer) – $150 or $250
The lifeguard course costs $250 аbut if you swim 300 meters and pass all exams, you will receive a $100 discount.
The course fee includes a first aid kit, a textbook, and a certificate from the American Red Cross valid for 2 years.

Orientation training - every program participant must participate in training organized by the american sponsor. The training covers program rules, safety, insurance, etc.
