Duration of the program
The Work and Travel USA program for students from Poland lasts between 3 to 5 months.The work period lasts a maximum of 4 months – between May 25 and September 25 (you set the dates with your employer based on your availability).
After finishing work, you have 30 days to travel around the United States. You don’t have to travel for the entire 30 days – the length of your trip, destination, and travel companions are entirely up to you.



Conditions of Participation
- Student Status: Participants must be enrolled in full-time/part-time studies;
- Age: Participants must be between 18 and 28 years old;
- English Language: Communicative knowledge of English.
Not Eligible
- Postgraduate students, students in online (e-learning) programs, and students in non-degree programs;
- Students who start their education in February/March (this does not apply to those who continue their education, e.g., finishing their bachelor’s degree in February and immediately starting their master’s studies);
- Students on academic leave;
- High school graduates who will complete their studies in May and will only be students from the fall.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months after the planned end of the program;
- Temporary/ Permanent Residence Card / Visa (for foreigners): Must be valid at least until the end of September 2025;
- Documents confirming student status: Certificate from the university and a stamped student ID;
- CV: In English;
- Positive attitude and engagement:
- Contracts and other necessary documents: You will receive them via email from the Easy Travel Abroad office.



Program Cost
- Registration Fee: 1999 PLN* This cost includes participation in the program, preparation of all documents, and full support from the Easy Travel Abroad agency during recruitment and stay in the USA. *Check out the promotions on our Work and Travel page in the “Promotions” section.
- Program Fee: $1599* This fee covers the issuance of the DS-2019 document, which is necessary for obtaining a J-1 visa and legal employment in the USA, employer verification, and provision of a work contract in accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of State. Comprehensive insurance – the sponsoring organization provides insurance until the end of the employment contract. The insurance meets the U.S. government requirements and covers medical expenses in the USA up to $100,000. 24/7 support from ETA and American sponsors during your stay in the USA. The price also includes the mandatory SEVIS registration fee ($35).
- J-1 Visa: $185 This fee for the visa, which allows legal work and residence in the USA, is paid to the U.S. embassy.
- Airfare to the USA: approximately $600 (round trip) You purchase the tickets independently, choosing any flight at your discretion.
- Life Guard Course (for the lifeguard position): $150 or $250 The lifeguard course costs $250, but if you swim 300 meters and pass all exams, you will receive a $100 discount from the employer. The course cost includes a first aid kit, a book, and an American Red Cross certificate, valid for 2 years.
